ATTORNEY JEFF BATTISTA INSTALLED AS NEW INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT
Grall Law Group Family Law Attorney Jeff Battista is the new president of the Indian River County Bar Association. Mr. Battista has been practicing law in Indian River County since 2000, and served for eight years on the Board of Directors of the Association before becoming president.
The Indian River County Bar Association is comprised of nearly 160 attorneys. The Association encourages professionalism among its members; it disseminates useful information and provides educational opportunities throughout the year.
The Indian River County Bar Association acts as a liaison between members, the court system, judges, and the community. Its members work closely with Florida Rural Legal Service to make sure that pro bono cases in the community are placed with attorneys. The Association also strives to reinforce a positive view of our local attorneys through a variety of community activities, including:
- the annual Sawbones vs. Jawbones Charity Softball game, which benefits local nonprofits;
- the annual Indian River State College Scholarship, which offers two scholarships to Indian River State College students taking law related classes;
- Law Week activities that include: Ask A Lawyer sessions, a judicial breakfast in the courthouse, and the Lawyer in the Classroom program;
- supporting The Young Lawyers Division, which enables young lawyers to do community work, networking, and social interacting.
Mr. Battista is honored to serve in this capacity and looks forward to continuing the good work of the Indian River County Bar Association. For more information about the Association or to find a local IRC Bar Member, visit www.indianriverbar.org.
